MR. IANNONE THE SCIENCE GUY

Mr. Iannone the 6th grade Science Teacher at Paseo Hills Elementary School. I am presently the Varsity Girl's Basketball Coach at Deer Valley High. I was voted the Assistant Coach of The Year for 5A-II for 2006 which that year we were State Champs and I was Coach of the Year for the Northwest Region in 2008. I have won the Presidential award two times when I was selected in the top three. I am also in Who's Who in Education. Also won Exmplary Elementary
Mathematics and Science Teacher in 2000. I have a Master of Art in Education. I have been teaching for 35 wonderful years. My famous quote is a famous chinese proverb :

FACTS OF THE MONTH

1. Many birds' feathers weigh more than their bones.

7. Skunks can shoot their bad-smelling spray only about two yards, but you can smell it up to two and a half miles away.
Foxes sometimes nip at the heals of cattle so the stomping of the cattle makes mice and other rodents come out of the ground, for the fox to eat.

8. Dinosaurs probably lived to be between 75 to 300 years of age. Scientists figured this out from looking at the structure of their bones.

13. Tired of the cold weather? Take a vacation on the hottest planet in the solar system - Venus. At over 800 degrees, it is hotter than Mercury because the clouds and abundant carbon dioxide hold in most of the heat received from the sun.

14. Geologists have discovered there seems to be more water miles deep between the rocks of Earths mantle than in all the oceans of the world. The intense pressure of the tons of rocks above keeps the hot water from turning to steam and escaping.

15. Water is the only substance on earth that is lighter as a solid than a liquid.
