THIS NINE WEEKS WE WILL BE STUDYING WHAT IS LIFE? WE  WILL DIVE INTO HISSING COCKROACHES, MEALWORMS,EARTHWORMS AND MICROORGANISMS. WE WILL STUDY FLOWERS AND PLANT A FLOWER GARDEN. WE WILL KNOW HOW TO USE A MICROSCOPE AND MOUNT SLIDES.WE DO ALL OF THIS TO GET READY FOR IMPERIAL BEACH-CAMP SURF. I WILL PROVIDE YOU ALL WITH PICTURES OF OUR HANDS ON UNIT.

We will also reach our Investigation goals per assessment. We will strive to make personal growth in Science. We will be respectful and responsible role models for our school. We will treat others like we would like to be treated. We pledge to be successful, helpful, and trustworthy!

THIS WEEK WE SPENT TIME ON DEVELOPING TEAM WORK. THIS ACTIVITY SHOWS YOU WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SCIENTISTS. IN THIS ACTIVITY YOU NEED TO USE THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD. YOU ALSO HAVE TO NOTICE DETAIL AND TRY OVER AND OVER AGAIN. WE WERE TEST IF YOU COULD PUT THE PUZZLE TOGETHER WITH AND WITHOUT TALKING. SOME GROUPS DID BETTER WITH TALKING AS OTHERS DID BETTER WITHOUT TALKING. SO WE RECEIVED MIXED RESULTS.

MAGIC IN THE CLASSROOM

THIS WEEK WE SPENT TIME SEEING THE MAGIC IN SCIENCE. WE WORKED ON TEAM BUILDING AND SET THE FEELING TONE FOR SCIENCE. ONE GOAL WE HAD WAS MAKE SCIENCE FUN. THESE ACTIVITIES MAKE SCIENCE FUN. WE HAVE A FEW PICTURES OF US IN ACTION. WE ALSO DISSCOVERED THE TYPE OF LEARNING STYLE EACH STUDENT HAD.
